1. Introduction

SPORTRICK offers various options when it comes to apply discounts and promotions and allows payments with vouchers and gift cards.

The aim of this manual is to summarize all the available options for customers to understand which one is the most suitable for each case.

2. How to Manually Edit the Price

This option enables the receptionist to edit prices during sales.

It is however possible to prevent receptionists from performing this price change: log into the VAR portal, click on Managed Environments -> View More -> Configurations -> Teams -> Team Permissions -> Registry General, next to the option "Allow edit cart row price" you can select NO to disable this option or YES to enable it.

3. How to Apply a Discount by Selecting a Price-List Row

Receptionists can  select a multipack linked with a price list and then select the row with the planned discount. It can be useful to plan discounts for a specific group of people, like students, residents, seniors...

More info -> Multipack Price Lists

4. How to Apply a Discount by Selecting an Optional Price-List Row

Receptionists can  select a multipack linked with a price list, then select a row of the price list and then select the optional row with the planned discount.

Example: only students and residents can enjoy 10£ off just if they buy 20 gym passes. If they buy less, they will only get 5£ off. Customers who are not students or residents will pay the full price.

Therefore it will be down to the receptionist to select the optional row with the discount only when required.

6. How to Apply Pre-Planned Promotions

This option enables receptionist to select a pre-planned promotion. Once an item has been added into the shopping basket, before confirming the sale it will be possible to select a promotion through the Options button. Once the promotion has been selected, just click on OK to apply it to the final price.

If the promotion is associated with a tag, the system will apply it automatically for each sale, provided that the tag linked with the promotion has been assigned to the user's profile (to assign a tag to a user click on Edit under the user's picture and select the tag in the Notes section).

7. How to Pay by Redeeming a Coupon

With this option customers can enjoy a discount by redeeming a coupon that has been provided to them by an operator, that they have received as a gift or that they received as a refund.

IMPORTANT: the coupon has to be fully redeemed in a single transaction, therefore the amount to pay has to be equal to or bigger than the value of the coupon:

  • if the amount to pay corresponds to the value of the coupon, there will be a 100% discount
  • if the amount to pay is bigger than the value of the coupon, the full value of the coupon will be deducted from the total price to be paid.

7. How to Pay with the Credit of an e-Wallet

This option is useful to let clients pay with a pre-paid credit without having to use it all in a single transaction. This means that part of the credit can be used as a discount all in one transaction or in different transactions.

Example: pre-paid credit = 150£, amount to pay = 100£ -> 100£ can be used to fully cover the total cost and the remaining 50£ can be used for future payments.
