1. Introduction

Coupons are useful for refunds, discounts or gifts.

In SPORTRICK, coupons are always considered as DISCOUNTS rather than credit that can be spent for purchases.

Therefore a 50£ coupon cannot be used for a 10£ purchase so that the remaining 40£ can be used in another transaction. Coupons have to be redeemed in a single transaction:

  • if the amount to be paid and the coupon have the same value, the sale will be basically free of charge
  • if the amount to be paid is bigger than the value of the coupon, the sale will be discounted (the value of the coupon will be deducted from the total to be paid).

Please just type the value (percentage or fixed amount) without the minus symbol. CORRECT = 10£, INCORRECT = -10£

3. How to Delete/Store a Coupon

The button Delete will permanently delete the coupon but it can only be used if the coupon hasn't been assigned to a user yet. Conversely, the coupon can be stored (Edit -> Store Coupon). This means that it will no longer be available but it will be stored in the system for record purposes, thus avoiding the deletion of coupons that have already been used. Should an operator attempt to delete a coupon that has been used for payments or is linked with a customer, the system will automatically store it rather than delete it. The icon with a padlock identifies stored coupons.
